sid the kid blogging assignment

Siddhartha challenges his parents to leave the Brahmins which can be very challenging for a person. " Siddhartha stood their unmoving, his arms folded;" "you will go into the forest and become a Samana." said his father. Siddhartha asks his father if he can leave the Brahmins and join the Samanas and his initial response is no. So Siddhartha decides to rebell against his dad so he can start his path that he personnaly would like to take. To get his point across Siddhartha stands in the same spot all night unmoving with his arms crossed which his dad ends up seeing. This shows courage to me because Siddhartha works up the courage to stand up for himself against his parents.

Challenging your parents can be a very challenging task for me because I was taught as a young kid to listen to your elders. A time when I do challenge my parents is when they tell me I can't hang out with friends because I have to much homework. I argure then because I feel that I could hang out with my buddies and still have enough time for my work after. To get my point across I usually try to act really upset first and then after I "cool down" I will try to explain my plan to get my work done while also allowing some time for fun.
