One of the characters in restrepo is yelling "get some!" while he is shooting the Iraqi's this really made me realize Perry's emotion when he unloaded 2 clips into a congs face. (his anger made their killing more personal.
Next The soldiers were exhausted from shooting and then digging and digging more and then more shooting. This really magnifies how Perry in Fallen Angles talks about how their is hours of bordrem and seconds of combat and how that could really get enoying from a soldiers point of view.
Furthermore Restrepo really showed how the soldiers believe that this is the place the are going to die which is very dramatic it shows it to a greater extent then the soldiers talking about it in Fallen Angles because you can also read their body language.
The part in Restrepo where Peble talks about how he couldn't tell his mom what was really going in the war because he didn't want to make her worried. This really shows the extreme emotions these soldiers go through Perry is dealing with the same problem as Peble and I could only imagine just about every other soldier has the same problem because it would be tough to tell your family you think your going to die.
Watching the soldier cry in Restrepo after his buddy died it really helped me to realize the agony that Perry went through after Jenkins died.
In Restrepo when the three soldiers were dancing to music it really showed me the special bond that Perry was talking about in Fallen Angles.
In Restrepo a soldier was talking about how he watched his buddy bleed out and die this really brings the part where Brew blead out in the chopper a lot more significant.
Seeing People In restrepo name the base after Doc. Restrepo really shows how connected the soldiers get to each other just like in Fallen Angles how the whole squad would be so sad if Perry Die.
In Restrepo the soldiers were all emotional when they would see their pictures from home this really shows me the emotional hard ships the soldiers go through when seeing family thats not really their.
Lastly, in Restrepo the homes they make sound better then the ones in Fallen angles but you can see how the quality is still very poor and It looked like it would be a stressful home to live in along with being shot at everyday.
Watching Restrepo and reading Fallen Angles really changed my perspective on war. Before them I really didn't think about how terrifying it would be to live in a war setting. Like in Fallen Angles when Perry describes war as hours of being bored and seconds of being shot at. This lifestyle would be gruesome being shot at day after day would wear a man down. In Restrepo those soldiers wouldn't go a day without being shot at. Also in Restrepo and Fallen Angles all the characters were constantly wondering if this was the place they were going to die because it easily could have been. Seeing these people go through the experiences in war really made my opinion on war negative having to see how it terrorizes the soldiers who fight through it.
